Arthur Sintas MBA, Director of Ascend
Arthur Sintas serves as the business and program developer for Ascend. He received a Bachelor's in Speech Communication and a Masters in Business Administration from Colorado State University. He was hired at CSU full-time and has worked for over ten years in a variety of departments, including Admissions and Student Affairs. His career also includes serving as a Retail Store Manager for many years with Starbucks Coffee Company which was foundational in developing his people-focused approach to management. Because of his unique blend of corporate management and higher education, Arthur was recruited to bridge client needs and expectations with the educational programs and services of a world-class research university. He brings a passion for delivering high quality experiences to organizations ready to partner with CSU to reach their highest potential.
Thomas Cox, Executive Partnerships
Thomas is focused on creating, developing and nurturing relationships that Ascend has with businesses and organizations all over the country. He graduated from the University of Sunderland with a BSc in Business Management and also completed an International Study program at the University of Utah in International Marketing. Since then, Thomas has worked for pre IPO Technology companies Abiquo and Artesian Solutions in the UK, with a focus on a consultative sales approaches for both cloud automation software, and social selling solutions.
It was because of his professional sales and business experience within the private tech sector, that Thomas was hired to further develop client relationships within the Ascend program. Through his strengths in strategic thinking, communication and development, Thomas aims to take the Ascend client experience to the next level.
Lea Hanson Ph.D, Communications & Assessment
Lea received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of North Dakota and a master's degree in student affairs in higher education from Colorado State University. After almost a decade working in higher education roles including student leadership advising and Admissions, Lea completed a Ph.D. in organizational performance and change at Colorado State. Her areas of expertise include organizational communication, association management, and organizational leadership. Her dissertation research focused on how generational differences in the workplace affect supervisory relationships. In addition to her professional experiences in higher education, Lea’s professional background includes communication and management consulting. She is also an Assistant Professor in CSU’s School of Education. Lea brings a passion for elevating staff culture, enhancing workplace communication, and empowering all stakeholders to contribute at their fullest capacity.
